Fresh
Cut Tulips
Fresh Cut Tulips come wrapped
in plastic. Before removing the wrap, cut your tulip under water and
place in your bucket of water (again do not use softened water) then add flower
food. Allow to drink four hours. Remove wrap and place bucket
in cool location until ready to work.
If any of your tulips droop, use a pin
to poke hole beneath flower head as shown in photo. This allows the
air to escape and water to move up the stem. Cut once more and place in
water. Some tulip stems are flimsy and you can
use a small wooden pick inserted up the stem to hold into your
arrangement.
In this way, you also have more assurance that as your
bouquet is delivered, the tulip stem will not fall over or out of the
bouquet.
