Fresh Cut Freesia

Freesia is a very fragrant flower used a great deal in weddings.  They are ethylene sensitive which causes young buds not to develop.  Colors are white, yellow, orange, red, bronze and purple.. You will work these flowers by cutting under water, dipping in "Quick Dip" and placing in fresh flower food solution containing 25% sugar.  Place flowers in dark at 70F for 18 hours.  This will increase flower size, percentages of flowers that open and vase life.

You will then store at 33-35F.  Vase life 4-12 days.
